Udder Angels was established in May 1998 as a class 1,
licensed In-Home Daycare out of Tammy’s residence on
State Road 28 in Alexandria. In 2000, Udder Angels
became a class 2, licensed In-Home Daycare for

In August, 2003, Udder Angels became licensed as a commercial
childcare center on West Adams Street in Alexandria. The new
center was licensed for 40 children, ages 6 weeks-12 years. In
May, 2006, we opened a Licensed In-Home, Udder Angels
School Age Clubhouse, upstairs from our facility for our
school age children. It is licensed for 16 children ranging
from ages 5-12 years. We now have a license for a total
of 56 children ranging in age from 6 weeks to 12 years.

A Note From Tammy… I was in the medical field
when I first started my career. After my marriage
and starting my own family, I decided I wanted to be
a stay at home mom for a while. I was approached by
several people about caring for their children while they
worked. It was then that I knew I loved working with
and being around children. I wanted to continue my
education and care for children as a career. I didn’t want
to be “just a babysitter”. I wanted to be and educator and
mentor. I needed more to offer than watching children at
my house. I don’t believe I chose childcare, I believe
childcare chose me. I have dedicated myself to providing
a safe place away from home in a home-like setting for
children to be when parents cannot be there.
